Welcome to CSER Team member, Jackie!

We are delighted to welcome CSER's new team member, Jackie Steffan! Jackie will be joining the CSER team to work with Dr Rebecca Vivian and Professor Katrina Falkner on CSER's research program.

Jackie has joined CSER as a Researcher, working on a new project exploring how STEM education resources are used by teachers in schools. She brings valuable experience from her previous work with CSER, updating Education Services Australia’s evidence-based Principles for inclusive learning environments for the Get into STEM program (coming soon!). 

Jackie Steffan is also currently undertaking a PhD in the College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University. Jackie's research focuses on the intersection of education, technology, and cognitive psychology, with her PhD research project investigating the impact of virtual reality on schema acquisition and cognitive load among STEM students. 

Jackie has previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Forensic and Analytical Science) and Masters of Teaching (Middle and Secondary). Jackie is enthusiastic and passionate about leveraging her research and teaching skills to drive positive changes in STEM education.
