Feature Lesson Plan - Human Anatomy with Virtuali-tee
This lesson plan is suitable for Year 9-10 but can be adapted down to Year 5-6.
Augmented Reality (AR) technology is used creatively by the makers of Virtuali-tee to bring the human anatomy to life by pairing their t-shirt with the Virtuali-tee App.
In this learning activity, students explore human organ systems using Virtuali-tee. The t-shirt provides an Augmented Reality (AR) experience and deeper 360 degrees Virtual Reality (VR) experience to explore human anatomy, including the following systems:
- Digestive system
- Circulatory system
- Skeletal system
- Respiratory system
- Urinary system
In this lesson students will identify the organs and overall function of a system of a multicellular organism in supporting the life processes, describe the structure of each organ in a system and relating its function to the overall function of the system. Students will develop their own interactive (digital or non-digital) project for another organ system. This activity could follow on from an introduction to multicellular organisms.
