The Raspberry Pi Foundation hosts regular online seminars focusing on current computing education research topics, featuring presentations from researchers from around the world. The seminars showcase some of the latest work in the field of computing education research. Recently, work undertaken by CSER Researchers was presented as part of this series.
CSER Researcher, Dr Thushari Atapattu and PhD student Menasha Thilakaratne, were successfully awarded $20,000 from the South Australian Defence Innovation Partnership Program to commence research on developing an ‘automated glossary from scientific articles on COVID-19’ under the initiative on ‘AI for decision making’.
Dr Rebecca Vivian and her international K-12 Computer Science (CS) education colleagues were accepted to present a special workshop session about conducting K-12 quantitative computing education research at the 2020 SIGCSE (Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education) Conference in the US in March. The session aimed to up-skill interested researchers and educators new to research.
