- Creative Maths through Art, Algorithms and AI Webinar
Monday 3rd August 2026 4:00pm - 4:30pm ACST
Hosted by Toni Falusi, participants will discover how digital tools can help students create mathematical art while developing spatial reasoning, geometric understanding, and computational thinking.
Drawing on investigations and pedagogical approaches from the Maths in Schools courses, this 30-minute webinar session explores how students can:
- identify geometry in the world around them
- investigate enlargement, reduction, symmetry, and transformations
- create coordinate art using digital tools
- explore how generative AI can be used to create mathematical artworks
- use algorithms and coding to generate patterns
Through hands-on classroom examples using tools such as Scratch, GeoGebra, and AI image generators, teachers will gain insights into engaging ways to connect Mathematics, Digital Technologies, and The Arts while making mathematical thinking visible and meaningful for students.
