New Library kits - Microbit v 2 Coding Kits!
Exploring the New Micro:Bit V2 Coding Kit from the National Lending Library
The National Lending Library has released new Micro:Bit V2 Coding Kits, aimed at supporting digital technologies education for students in Years 3 to 8. This kit is designed to help teachers integrate hands-on coding and electronics into their classrooms with minimal setup.
Each kit includes:
- 15 Micro:bit V2 devices
- A selection of compatible accessories for varied classroom activities
The kit also comes with example lesson plans developed by the CSER team that encourage experimentation and creativity. Two featured lesson plans include:
- Game with No Rules!: This lesson encourages data collection, algorithmic thinking, and creative problem-solving, making it a versatile resource for integrated STEM learning.
- Capturing Data with the Micro:Bit: In this lesson, students investigate how digital systems can help us understand physical movement by designing a simple digital solution using the Micro:bit.
