Vasse Primary School students coding Micro:Bits

Vasse Primary School has been lucky enough to receive fabulous resources from the CSER team. We obtained the micro:bit kit for our weekly girl coding club. Our students enjoyed the challenge of learning and implementing robotics.

They looked for solutions to promote students placing rubbish in the correct bins and programmed the micro:bit to deliver positive and encouraging messages to their peers for recycling. In addition to this, they created pedometers to count steps, and also set up communication through radio waves to send messages to the office.

Our school are so appreciative of the opportunities that CSER have provided by lending us their kit, and we loved the micro:bits so much that we bought some for the school. Thank you so much for inviting curiosity and for helping us to engage our students in STEM.
