NAIDOC Week 2019

NAIDOC Week logo 2019, Voice, Treaty, Truth

2019 NAIDOC Week is based upon the theme of Voice, Treaty, Truth. Your school can explore this theme with the helpful resources available on the NAIDOC website. One of the featured activities is to create a poster to help students consider the meaning of the theme - for example what does the term treaty mean and why is it important. Students can explore the featured poster to interpret the artist's meaning and they can create their own poster.

Perhaps your class could create a large poster together and navigate it with an ozbot or beebot!

Later this week two of our Project Officers, Laura and Lauren, will be fortunate to be working on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait to work with Teachers from Tagai State School. This follows the visit Lauren made last year to work with a wonderful group of Teacher Aides. Tagai State School is a unique education provider which covers 48,000 square kilometres across 15 different Islands in the Torres Strait, offering pre-Kindergaten through to TAFE.

If your school would like support in the implementation of Digital Technologies curriculum please contact us to register your interest.
