Your stories: Mt Isa School of the Air
By Bridoen Schloss,
Field Services, Mount Isa School of the Air
Mount Isa School of the Air were extremely fortunate to borrow a kit of Spheros from the University of Adelaide’s CSER Lending Library for our recent minischools in Term 3. The Lending Library is such an amazing resource for teachers where loaning of Digital Technologies is free.
Most of our children had never seen a Sphero before and they were amazed by what they could do. They were given a range of challenges to complete in line with our theme ‘Let the Games Begin’. Some of the challenges including making Sphero chariots, scoring a goal in a hoop and playing hockey with Ping-Pong balls. These challenges involved coding, planning and problem solving.
I would highly recommend any teacher to use the CSER Lending Library, what do you have to lose?
Thanks for sharing your experience with us Bridoen! If you would like to share your school’s experience of using a kit from the CSER Lending Library we would love to hear from you! Please email us at: cser@adelaide.edu.au
