Ready to make a difference in STEM? The They Did What? STEM video competition is back! Uncover Australia’s unsung STEM stars in The GiST ‘They Did What?’ video competition. 

Australian students from Foundation to Year 10 are invited to create a 3-minute video about an unsung Australian STEM star for the chance to win a prize valued at up to $300 and be featured on The GiST website.

Entries close 27 November 2025, with winners announced 8 December 2025.

Educator and student resources are available to help run this as a curriculum aligned classroom activity, and to support students to participate independently.
