Through this rich context, teachers can engage with maths, offering students valuable learning experiences that align with the key concept of Country/Place in the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Histories & Cultures cross-curriculum priority in the Australian Curriculum: Maths. Traditional knowledges & practices will be showcased & intersected with contemporary practices & technologies, bringing together the incredible cultural knowledges & understandings of First Nations peoples with western science.
