NAIDOC Week, Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up!
This year's NAIDOC Week Theme is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!
Actions more than words show commitment to change, that is what this year's NAIDOC theme is all about. There are so many great examples of how to learn from and engage with Indigenous knowledge, culture, history as well as be inspired to be part of a positive future that embraces and makes the most of this knowledge for everyone.
In the past year CSER has been fortunate to partner or engage with a range of excellent organisations through cultural competency training, project work and supply of educational resources. NAIDOC week is a great opportunity to highlight and thank the following organisations and we encourage you to visit their websites to find out more about their work:
- Arrilla Indigenous Consulting
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance (ATSIMA)
- Smarter Stronger Institute;
- Koori Curriculum.
SBS is the official NAIDOC week partner for a range of excellent educational resources, check out the downloadable teacher resource developed by Shelley Ware that aligns to the Cross Curriculum Priorities: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures.
