Welcome to Laura Ferguson, QLD Project Officer
We are pleased to introduce our newest Project Officer, Laura Ferguson, to the CSER team in Queensland. Laura is based in Brisbane and will continue on the wonderful work of Lauren Stanhope.
Lauren remains a key part of the CSER team with a focus on resource development. Laura brings a variety of valuable experience to the role, having most recently taught Digital Technologies, Design & Technologies and STEM to students at a north Brisbane secondary school. In that role Laura also lead the development of learning programs aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Laura has also worked closely with primary school teachers and curriculum leaders to explore innovative ways to embed digital technologies into units of work and student learning experiences.
In addition to her work in schools Laura has also worked for the Queensland Government as a Project Leader (Online Learning) where she led and coordinated professional learning activities, training online facilitators and developing online, face-to-face and on-demand professional learning resources. In the role of Senior Project Officer (Digital Pedagogies) Laura lead and implemented strategic projects to promote transformational learning and digital pedagogy at both a state wide and national level.
Laura is particularly interested in coding, robotics, VR and gamification with a focus on engaging students to be creators and developers of technology.
